Oil-Free Compressors from JustAir: Reliable and Sustainable
At Clarebout, tons of potatoes are processed daily, requiring a significant amount of compressed air. For their new factory in Dunkirk, they decided to adopt a future-proof solution right away. The choice naturally fell on the oil-free and energy-efficient compressors from JustAir.

Ready for the Future
For the new factory in Dunkirk, Clarebout needed to thoroughly consider their compressed air installation. This system is essential for sorting potatoes, and a standard compressor and installation simply wouldn’t suffice. The risk of compressed air contamination—and thus contamination of the final product—was too high.

We made the fundamental decision to immediately switch to 100% oil-free compressed air. In the food industry, there is a growing demand for such systems, and it’s often even required by the end customer, explains Bart Goetmaeckers, engineer at Clarebout, on their choice for JustAir.

Free from Oil and Worries
Traditional turbo compressors still require a lot of maintenance and use significant amounts of oil. Our compressors are modular in design and, above all, sustainable: there is no oil waste, and the entire system operates with much less energy compared to conventional turbo compressors. Thanks to magnetic bearings and 275 data points, the condition is continuously monitored, allowing us to intervene proactively," explains Chris Lybaert, CEO of JustAir.

As a result, production downtime is minimized, and the risk of recalls is significantly reduced, saving the customer considerable extra costs. The financial aspect was also crucial for Clarebout: "We conducted a thorough cost analysis, focusing primarily on the Total Cost of Ownership. Moreover, we were very satisfied with our previous purchase from them, which proved to be a worthwhile investment and was well-supported," concludes Bart.
